Fabien DELAUBE - Oil on canvas

Fabien DELAUBE was born in Bordeaux in 1973, he studied for 5 years photography and audiovisual in different art schools, this period of his life has shaped his creative spirit, before finally turning to the visual arts. In 1996, he worked for 2 years in Bordeaux Opera as a decorator.

In 1998, he hones his craft by attending courses of “trompe l’oeil” with Companions of the Tour de France, then he continued to attend classes in the Fine Arts academy in Bordeaux with live models.

Now he lives and works in Paris since the early 2000s.

His works are representational, visionary and fantastic at the same time. Through structured compositions, he easily reaches to express treated themes by setting them up in a real poetry.

Nature and people lover, the artist likes travelling and paints whom he meets, juggling between quite surprises and contemplatives attitudes. Shade and light are his elements of choice, allowing him to pull us into transitional emotions from darkness to purity, from death to revival…
